Accessibility Statement

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the European Accessibility Act. Accessibility is treated as a requirement of the product, not an optional extra.

Discover Anyone is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the service meets the standard, and we are actively working on the remaining items listed below. We review the site with automated testing (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A and AA rule sets) and with manual keyboard and screen-reader checks whenever we ship significant changes.

• A "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page.
• Semantic landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a single H1 per page.
• Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and accessible names for icon-only controls.
• Labels and error messages tied to form fields, announced by screen readers.
• Status updates during a search announced through live regions.
• Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and UI controls.
• Respect for the operating system's reduce motion setting, which disables the animated background and non-essential transitions.
• A background intensity control and the option to turn the animated background off entirely, in Account settings.
• Responsive layout that supports 200% zoom and 320px-wide viewports without loss of content.
• Tap targets sized for motor accessibility on touch devices.

We test with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS (Safari), NVDA on Windows (Firefox and Chrome), and keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on current versions.

• Third-party result pages. Search results link to websites we do not own or control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of those destinations.
• Third-party images. Profile photos and thumbnails pulled from public sources may carry limited or generic descriptions, because no meaningful alternative text is published at the source. We label them with the account handle or platform name where possible.
• The decorative background. The animated canvas is purely decorative, is hidden from assistive technology, and can be reduced or disabled in settings.

If any part of Discover Anyone is not usable for you, we will provide the same information and functionality through an alternative channel at no extra cost. Email accessibility@discoveranyone.com and describe what you were trying to do, and we will help you complete it directly.

We welcome your feedback. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please email accessibility@discoveranyone.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology and browser you were using, and what happened.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 3 business days and to resolve or provide a workaround within 30 days. If a fix will take longer, we will tell you why and give you a timeline.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate by emailing legal@discoveranyone.com with "Accessibility complaint" in the subject line. We will review the complaint at a senior level and respond in writing.

Accessibility checks run as part of our release process. We re-audit the full service at least twice a year and after any major redesign, and we update this statement when the results change.
